We're building the infrastructure for modern, cashless urban parking in Ethiopia — starting with Addis Ababa.
Addis Ababa has over 1.2 million registered vehicles and a growing urban population. Yet parking remains a cash-based, paper-ticket system that creates friction for drivers, wardens, and city administrators alike.
ParkET exists to change that. We connect Ethiopia's existing mobile money infrastructure — Telebirr — to the urban parking system, making it effortless to find a spot, pay in seconds, and verify compliance digitally.
We are not just building a parking app. We are building the data layer for smarter Ethiopian cities.
ParkET was founded in 2024 by a team of Ethiopian engineers, product designers, and urban mobility experts with a shared belief: that Ethiopian cities deserve world-class infrastructure built by Ethiopians.
We build for Ethiopian users, with Ethiopian infrastructure, by Ethiopian talent. We don't import foreign solutions — we design from the ground up for our context.
Every feature earns its place. If it takes more than 3 taps, we redesign it. Simplicity is not a constraint — it is our competitive advantage.
Every birr collected is accounted for. We give drivers receipts, wardens audit trails, and administrators real-time visibility. No black boxes.
Addis Ababa is our starting point, not our finish line. We architect ParkET to scale across every Ethiopian city, and eventually across East Africa.
We work with city authorities, not around them. ParkET amplifies human wardens and city revenue — it does not replace them.
Every parking session generates insights. We turn transaction data into city-planning intelligence that makes Addis a better place to live and drive.
